Katie Fortier Acerbi

Yoga Teacher

(she/her)

Katie was first introduced to Yoga in college with free asana classes by her French professor who had just completed teacher training at Kripalu School of Yoga. Inspired and curious, Katie spent a year at Kripalu studying and practicing yoga as a resident volunteer in their Seva (Sanskrit for “selfless service”) program. Katie became deeply committed to the sense of community and personal freedom that she found during her time at Kripalu and later returned for her 200-hour teacher training. After a few years of teaching at public libraries, schools, gyms, and yoga studios, she sought more and began the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy program. Katie continues to stay curious and inspired by the ever-changing experience of self, and self within Community. She is especially delighted in practices of Ayurveda, mudra, breathwork, and the pursuit of embodiment.
