Mary Gabis

Massage Therapy | Cranial Sacral and Lymphatic Drainage

(she/her)

Following a life-changing journey with her health, Mary embarked on a path of professional massage therapy. In 2018, she discovered that massage therapy was one of the crucial components to regulate her nervous system, reduce inflammation and illness symptoms, and provide overall ease in her daily life. This shift in her personal and professional well-being ignited her passion for the benefits of customized therapeutic massage and energy work.

With a background in mindfulness, complementary and alternative avenues to health and wellness, and physical movement, Mary values a holistic approach to well-being. As a certified yoga teacher and licensed educator, she enjoys exploring, applying, and sharing techniques centered around a dynamic balance between one's physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences. These intrinsic aspects drive her commitment to building a professional relationship with each client, providing high-quality massage therapy and energy healing based on trust, transparency, and ethical practice. Her professional approach is trauma-aware, with an understanding and integration of other modalities and a constant focus on learning. In each session, Mary values client empowerment and strives to build a culture where clients feel encouraged and welcomed to advocate for their needs and ask questions.

Mary's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Education from the University of New Haven. In addition, she is a certified 200-hour yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance and a licensed educator in the state of Connecticut. During her time as a classroom teacher, Mary became increasingly interested in understanding and reducing the impact of stress on her students. To that end, she pursued a 300-hour certification in somatic therapies and techniques, as well as a social and emotional learning certification. In 2022, Mary graduated from The Massage School in Easthampton, MA and became a licensed massage therapist. With supplemental training in Cranial Sacral Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage from the Ganesha Institute, Mary offers these alongside a range of services including relaxation (Swedish) massage, yoga, and Reiki. Her dedication to continued learning drives her to pursue further certifications in Sound Healing and Pre/Perinatal Massage in 2023.
