MEET GWEN, OWNER OF INFINITE SELF MASSAGE & ENERGETIC WORKS

Why did you want to become a bodyworker?

Providing massage and energy work is something I've offered to my loved ones for most of my life, even before I knew what energy healing was. From my aging parents, to my seven siblings and to my four children, helping them experience relaxing and joyful physical, mental, emotional and energetic states has always brought me pleasure. From this sense of pleasure, and a lot of success through these personal experiences, I sought to share my gift further by doing it professionally.

What have you gained from this work?

This has helped me better understand the connection between the mind, body and spirit, and how energetic healing can benefit all simultaneously.

What do you hope your clients feel after working with you?

I hope my energy healing clients feel a deep sense of relaxation within, that addresses any energetic imbalances. I also hope that my massage therapy clients feel a relief of any tension in their back, shoulders and neck that can often lead to headaches.

How does your healing work inform your activism or understanding of the world?

By raising my vibrations through the healing work, I aspire to bring about a blend of pure thoughts and elevated spiritual awareness. This can help create a conscious shift in cultivating an unbiased and less judgmental approach towards all humans regardless of the differences that cause separation among us.

What's your favorite season of the year and why?

Summer. It helps me get out in nature more, whether it is for shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) or to enjoy the salty beach air with my children.

What has made you smile recently that you feel the need to share?

A surprise birthday celebration, complete with a candle-topped birthday cake, that my kids put together for me when I got home from work.
