Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) (6-Week Series, In-Studio Only)
Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an empirically-validated choice-based movement practice for survivors navigating the effects of complex trauma. The purpose of TCTSY is to provide opportunities for participants to explore agency and the possibility of having a body through making choices about movement and/or stillness. As a modality focused on your internal experience and choices, TCTSY isn’t about “correct” or “best” ways to move, and you’re not expected or required to have a particular emotional or physical experience. There’s not a right or wrong way to move or have a body.
Queer & Trans Yoga: Focus on the Chakras (Series 2, 4 Weeks)
In this special series, we will dedicate each class to an exploration of the chakras, or primary energy centers in the body. Each chakra is related to a color, a sound, a part of the body, an element, animals, and each has its own manifestation of balance or imbalance in the body, heart, and mind. By working through each chakra individually, we will seek to create balance on our mats and in our lives. This 4 week series in October is being offered in conjunction with a second 4 week series in November that will take us through all 7 chakras. We recommend signing up for both series!
