Ellen Morbyrne
Yoga Teacher | Perinatal Yoga
(she/they)
Ellen found her home in yoga at thirteen and has been a dedicated practitioner ever since. As someone with a lifelong chronic illness, finding a physical and spiritual practice which unveiled her intrinsic, capable, already-sufficient wholeness has inspired Ellen to invite others to discover their own innate potential for meaningful self-expression. She began teaching yoga to teens and adults of all ages in 2009. After completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training here at Yoga Sanctuary (studying primarily with Sara Rose, Amy Reed, and Sarah Faircloth), Ellen discovered a particular love for teaching prenatal yoga inspired largely by Tara Starling’s prenatal classes. Ellen brings her experience as a professional theatre artist, a youth educator, and a mom of two awesome kids to her yoga teaching. All of Ellen’s classes are rich with practical philosophy, down-to-earth humor, playfulness, and a passion for both alignment and the therapeutic applications of yoga practice.
