Luke “Tt” King

Somatic Psychotherapist | Yoga Instructor

(he/they)

Luke is a queer individual and group somatic psychotherapist, yin yoga enthusiast, and adjunct faculty at Boston College and Smith Schools of Social Work. Luke grew up with a piscean sensitivity and spicy commitment to his community, which guides the various aspects of his work at this time.

Beginning his clinical work in acute violence recovery, transitioning to community mental health, and eventually private practice, Tt has focused on fostering choice, agency, and a sense of connection within the queer community.  He has particular love of group therapy, and its capacity to help us practice the joy and pain of being in beloved community. Folks who work with Luke have described his style of therapy, teaching, and existence as warm, funny, and irreverent.

Tt has also brought this energy into their yoga teaching, including Yin workshops that have focused on somatic abolitionism, queer embodiment, and the opportunity to approach the body slowly and kindly. He has been heavily influenced by the teaching of Emily Peterson, as well as the philosophies and activism of Paulo Freire, Ella Baker, and Audre Lorde, to name a few!
