YS seeks Front Desk Manager!
Yoga Sanctuary is a premiere yoga studio in downtown Northampton. Our 23-year business offers alignment-based, flow, and restorative classes. Our teachers are grounded in their lineages of yoga practice, and honor the roots of the many yogic traditions that come from India, as passed to them through their teachers. They are trained in various lineages, but are connected through their anatomical expertise and their philosophically rich, psychologically sound approach. All students are welcome in Yoga Sanctuary's classes and programs—students of every body type and physical ability; BIPOC students; Queer, Trans, and GNC students; students of every age; students from different religious traditions—everyone.
The Front Desk Manager is an integral part of the Yoga Sanctuary community. They bring enthusiasm, care, and intention to our shared spaces. They require strong customer service skills and the ability to respond thoughtfully under pressure. This person is responsible for building positive relationships with our students and teachers. Administrative tasks include customer service, schedule coordination, and managing our community of Yoga Exchange members. The Manager reports directly to the owners and completes tasks as assigned. A background in marketing and/or community organization is encouraged.
The Front Desk Manager is a part-time position at 10–15 hours/week. The expectation is consistent hours five days/week during class times, with a specific schedule to be negotiated. This position is primarily onsite, with some virtual hours. This person must be located in or near Northampton, MA. Compensation is $18–$22/hour commensurate with experience.
