2025 Pass Pricing Changes

Dear Sanctuary Community,

Starting January 1st we will make changes to the class pass and membership options for our weekly yoga class schedule. We are relaying these changes now so that you have time to communicate with us as needed and determine what option works best for you.

Since we have taken over the studio, we have been trying to balance the high value of what we offer, the everyday costs of running a studio, and financial accessibility for anyone who wishes to practice. We have noticed that in our culture caretaking professions are financially undervalued, and this includes yoga teachers, bodyworkers, and healers. Our hope is not to dissuade anyone from practicing, but to name the true price of our yoga class offerings, outside of a sliding scale model.

Moving forward we will offer two class pass options: a Single Class Pass ($22) and a 5-Class Pass ($95); the 10-Class Pass will no longer be an option. These rates are in alignment with the current cost of yoga class passes in the Valley.

We’ve also decided to move away from the tiered pricing structure for our monthly unlimited membership options, and will begin offering a single option instead–an Unlimited Class Pass, priced at $120/month. The Unlimited Class Pass is an ideal option for students who intend to attend two or more classes per week. Assuming this level of participation, the per-class rate will be $14 or less. The Prenatal Unlimited Class Pass (formerly the Prenatal Membership) will continue to be priced at $65/month. Students who currently have any Membership will receive a separate email from us with instructions on how to navigate this change.

Lastly, we will be offering Unlimited Pass Specials semi-annually rather than continually (i.e. the New Member Offer). We will continue to offer new students a free first class.

You can take a look at our simplified pass offerings here.

While this simplified structure includes price increases, our hope is that these changes will clarify the value of what we offer and encourage students to participate in our scholarship program, whenever and wherever there is a need. As part of our mission to provide access to high-quality movement classes, healing arts practices, and educational experiences, Sanctuary channels 100% of profits towards our Scholarship Fund, and our mission is to make our programs accessible to all. Learn more about our scholarship program here.

In addition to our scholarship program, we have a long-standing tradition of offering work exchange (“Yoga Exchange”) opportunities for individuals who are able to help us out with basic tasks (i.e. tech support and customer service) during public offerings. In regards to creating pathways of financial accessibility, this program provides an alternative to scholarships, as well as an opportunity to be more involved in community building.

As our range of offerings continues to expand beyond asana practices, we’ve been reconsidering the name of this program. Beginning in the new year, the Yoga Exchange Program will be called the Sanctuary Volunteer Program, and participation options will be more inclusive of our range of public offerings. Learn more about our volunteer opportunities here.

We are deeply grateful for the community of students and teachers who choose to participate in Sanctuary’s public yoga class offerings. We believe that we have some of the best teachers in the Valley, and we hope that our studio is one of the most welcoming and affirming spaces around. We welcome you as you are, whenever you are able, and regardless of your financial situation. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, or to let us know how we can best support your practice.

Sincerely,

Lindsay & Jonathan
